Hyper City · updated November 1, 2026
Hyper City is a model you look at. It has no accounts, no sign-up, no advertising, and no analytics. It sets no cookies and does not track you from page to page or site to site.
What stays in your own browser
A few small settings are kept in your browser's storage so the model remembers you on your next visit. They never leave your device, and clearing this site's data in your browser removes them.
hcHintsSeen: that you have already seen the how-to hints.hcFavorites: the characters and places you starred.hcReloadFor: for one browser session, which version of the page it last updated to, so it does not reload twice.hcTimelineEditandhcWriterKey: only if you open the timeline editor. The first is your unsaved draft; the second is the writer's key, which only the site's author has.
Your location
The Orbits & Views panel can place the viewing spot where you are. Only if you press Use device location does your browser ask your permission. The position is used inside your browser to aim the view and is never sent to this site or anyone else. You can type a latitude and longitude instead.
What reaches this site's server
- Like every website, the server's log records each request: your IP address, the time, the page asked for, and your browser's name. It is used to keep the site secure and running, and it is not sold or shared.
- The timeline editor's Save sends the arranged timeline and the writer's key. A save with the wrong key is refused and its IP address noted, to slow down guessing.
Other services the page loads
To draw the model and its lettering, your browser fetches the three.js library from jsDelivr and typefaces from Google Fonts. Those services receive your IP address and browser details when they send the files, under their own privacy policies. Nothing else is loaded from other sites.
